Plus, of course, the uncounted and untold hundreds of thousands of dead civilians and whatnot... (and when I say "innocent", I mean "innocent of attacks on America", not that the evil sonofabitch was innocent in general).

But basically, the 5-plus years of the war on terror comes down to "we caught someone unrelated to the attacks, sent his country into civil war, and executed him while spending out country into bakruptcy and utterly ignoring the people who actually attacked us".

Gosh, in five-plus years in WWII, we defeated Hitler, got him to kill himself, defeated the Empire of Japan, and had both of them, along with most of Europe, rebuilt.

So yeah, I guess, FDR and Shrubbie are like total equals.

:sarcasm:

1. Oh, don't be so cynical.
You didn't mention the unequalled profits made by Haliburton, McDonnell-Douglas, Litton, Exxon, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop, Grumman, Daimler-Chrysler, Chase-Manhattan, MicroSoft, Boeing, Bank of America, General Motors, et al, whaich can be directly attributed to the war. And the inevitable trickle-down means the economy is clearly booming;

Have You Forgotten?

2. Oh, yeah! That's right! I totally forgot about the part that Shrubbbie made me rich
with his booming economy!

I was so doped up from bathing in Dom Perignon, because I can afford to do that and anything else I want to do, that I forget that money even exists and that I'm rich! I just take it for granted.

Thank God for the booming economy!

3. Don't forget to mention...
FDR got us out of the type of Depression that Asshat is sending us into.
