My wife and I gave a bunch of stuff to one over a month ago. I just talked to the guy in charge of the shop this guy works out of, and he claims that a) he tried to sell some of the stuff, and it didn't sell, b) some of the stuff doesn't look like it will sell, and c) he tried to e-mail us, but we didn't respond. My e-mail response, which I hope he replies to (since he didn't reply to the other zillion e-mails I sent) is below. Am I being too harsh? Should I just demand the stuff back and find another seller?
I have just spoken to my wife about this matter, and we're confused and dismayed. Our main concerns:
1. If I understood the conversation I had with <store owner> correctly, you tried to sell some of our items, but they did not sell. I checked the "<eBay store name>" sales daily from the day we dropped off the items, but did not see any of our items for sale. Could you please provide us with the dates these items were listed?
2. I sent a number of e-mails to both this address and your eBay account, and received no response. If you sent us an e-mail detailing the status of our items, we never received it. Since the form my wife filled out also had our phone number, I would hope that we would receive a phone call when you did not receive a response to your e-mail. (We would appreciate it if you would forward that message to us again at this address.)
3. On the form, my wife believes that she checked off that some items should be returned if they were not sold, while others should be relisted. Could you please confirm if this is the case? If possible, could you scan or mail a copy of the agreement to us? What is the process to have items returned to us?
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, and I hope to hear from you soon.
