My cat is SUCH a weirdo
I wandered to the kitchen to get some water...and found her asleep on top of the box my new food processor came in. *shakes head in amused disbelief*

1. Whose cat is NOT a weirdo?
They are all deranged. One of mine sleeps on top of the refrigerator.

She likes the warmth, so that's where she sleeps. Always.

3. the funny part...
is that until I got the food processor...she was still sleeping on top of the box my mixer came in that I got back in September for my birthday. She won't let me throw it away...makes a huge fuss if I try to pick it up. My house is gonna be wall to wall boxes soon. Eep.

6. Hey, it's probably warm up there and there's a nice low key buzz.
That's not weird, that's smart. :)

4. Sounds like You've got a boxcat too
One of my cats Maisy is like that. If there's a new box or basket in the house she's got to sleep or lie on it.

12. I have three boxcats
The jury is still out on the new kitten. We have to always have boxes on the kitchen table for them or we never hear the end of it.

Anyone with cats could write a book about their strange behavior, here's one of my favorites from my household. Cleo, the addle-brained black cat, utterly refuses to eat out of their bowl if she can see any of the white bottom. She will sit there and yowl until more food appears or, in a pinch, someone rearranges the remaining crunchies to hide the spot.

5. ALL packages must be checked

Really, we should put cats in charge of border and port security -- if we really cared.

:)

7. Problem with that...
is they'd never let the boxes go on through...at least my kitty wouldn't.

8. You've got a point there. There's at least a three hour nap per parcel.

9. Miss Marble was claustrophilic
She could jam herself into boxes half her size, and she was happier than all get out doing it. The other cats looked on in stupefied disbelief. :D And damn if I ever got to throw any boxes out.

Best damn cat I ever knew. I miss her.

10. my cat is a little girl
I actually found her curled up in a box about the same size length and width-wise as a piece of paper that some piece of electronics came in.

Sorry about your kitty.

11. My Pooh
does that with shoe boxes. It does not matter how small that box is she is going to sleep in it. Oh, and she is by no means a small cat.
