Introducing Syracuse's own weather cat, Doppler

Are you finally getting some weather out that way?

2. Waiting for the weather to hit Sunday evening.

First we get a shot of the ice storm that's hitting Oklahoma tonight, then the next day our Lake Effect should kick in. No one is really sure how bad it's going to get.

3. Hmm....my husband is headed your way on

Sunday for work in the western part of the state next week. We are supposed to get some ice and snow on Sunday night and most of the day Monday...like you - no idea what we are in for yet.

6. The ice is supposed to hit here Sunday night and the Lake Effect

Monday night. If he's taking I-90, I'd definitely would check the weather for Rochester and Buffalo because the Lake Effect can be localized. My daughter is planning on driving up from Buffalo Saturday and returning during the weather window Monday morning.

5. He hangs around when they broadcast the weather as long as

the weather is good. He was sitting up straight looking over the guy's shoulder tonight.

Bonus: Wayne Mahar, the meteorologist, is originally from Maine. We can generally tell when some really wild weather is coming in because he gets excited and his accent kicks in.

7. They should let Doppler do the weathercasting

Kitties are very sensitive to coming changes in the weather. :)
