Does your toddler (or kid or tween) watch Sprout, Disney or TLC?

Mine watch mainly Sprout - they like the educational stuff

2. Nope, he broke the TV and I haven't replaced it.

We download educational stuff from Discovery or the BBC a lot, but it's usually wildlife specials for adults. The only kid thing we've DL'd lately was the Billy and Mandy christmas special.

4. My 4 y.o. granddaughter loves it!

She saw how to do crayon rubbings (paper over leaf), and was so excited. So, we did some rubbings tonight. Then, she said she learned how to make a special card, and how she saw it on Sprout, and that it gives her all sorts of good ideas becasue she's an artist! and I will be getting a special card soon that also will have special cut-outs that she'll paste on front.

She also let her mom know today that she will be selling her art and buying special presents for everyone. And that she will be drawing every day because the more she does the better she'll get. Too sweet!

(Already showing she's a got natural talent. Has been drawing people with eyes, nose, mouth, hair, bodies, arms, legs...all since she was 2. Now she's drawing things that have depth...main subjects in the front, and adds other people and birds, ducks, butterflies, etc., as background and receded, and adds grounded area for subjects such as playing in a pool, dancing on the grass, etc.)

Anyway, she says she totally loves Sprout, especially the new Sprout that's for kids her age. :hi:

5. The five year old who used to favor educational stuff

now is a total Spongebob head. Hopefully this won't last forever, although secretly, I get a kick out of Spongebob and Patrick's silliness myself.

6. I have a tween that loves Disney-Hannah Montana, etc.

High School Musical was a huge hit at our house.

Edit: Animal Planet is also a huge hit with her. My son, who is 8, loves Sponge Bob on Nick.

7. Oy vey toddler TV addict

MG Jr. NEEDS his Max & Ruby. And Blue's Clues. And Wiggles. And Make Way for Noddy. And Caillou. And and and...

The latest addition to the TiVo list is Fireman Sam, which I can respect just for being one of the only Welsh Claymation shows I've ever seen. Actually, a lot of the shows are clever, which is heartening. Except for Handy Manny--boring as shit. :eyes:

At least the kid won't just watch anything--one whiff of Dragon Tales or Sagwa and he's outta there. But we have enough stuff stashed on the TiVo that it can keep him going for hours, unfortunately. The only good thing about it is he doesn't sit there and stare at the TV, slackjawed. Usually he likes it on in the background as he does other stuff.

(Confession time: Dada and I are hooked on Kipper the Dog, but Jr. doesn't like it! We have to beg him to let us watch the show in between the other ones! Arnold the pig RULES!)
