Two months from my 40th birthday and it looks like I'm pregnant
Hellllppppp!!!!

I'm trying to be patient and wait for SO to come home from work before I take the test, but it's driving me batty waiting!

I know the SO will be happy if I am, but I'm freaked out and kinda scared, after my miscarriage and resultant D&C last summer :scared:

1. First off...hugs!

Secondly, how will you feel? I know how scary it can be. I had late losses between my daughter and son and had given up when I became pregnant with him. I then became convinced I would lose him, that something would go wrong etc. I worried myself all the way through pregnancy. I wish I could take that back.

Please take good care of yourself, try not to worry, and remember each time is different. I wish I had taken that advice.

Hugs, hugs Hugs!

~Laura

4. I feel happy, but scared
Going through that last miscarriage was hell, as I was almost 4 months when I miscarried... thus the D&C. That and starting all over again, with my youngest turning 18 in June. But mostly scared of the loss again :scared:

Good advice, though... I'll just have to stay calm and try not to worry too much.

And may I say it is SO GOOD to see you in the Lounge again!!! I missed seeing your posts!

But hey, it couldn't be any worse than the Lamb Chop sing-alongs and the Jungle Book and Rugrats, could it?

3. I had multiple losses and a D&C pre-LeftyKid and he couldn't be healthier.
The only problem was that he was a whole freakin' month late. :eyes:

I hope you get the news you want, whatever that may be.

8. Haha, my youngest daughter was a month late too
She also tried to come early at six months along... nearly lost her. We had a joke, at the time, that she got mad when she couldn't come out early and punished me by staying in waaaaay too long!

The news I want is that I'm pregnant, and I'm about 99% sure I am. I'm just a little scared is all :scared:

15. Well, if it helps any
Way back in the dark ages, when dinosaurs ruled the earth, Harry Truman was president and there weren't many things medicine could do to help high risk pregnancies other than bed rest, my grandmother had three kids in three years after turning 40. She lived to be 93, and her kids all came out fine.

You'll do great. Just relax and keep your sense of humor close at hand.

That's the attitude I'm going to try to adopt! Thanks for the reassurance

Say hi to that sexy man of yours too... I rarely see him around and don't get to post in his crazy ass threads until it's too late :D

My beautiful young man is going to be ten in February! I was followed like a hawk and even am a case in a perinatal textbook,

10. I guess that's the big thing I worry about right now
My age and all the problems that come with a pregnancy this late... I don't know for sure, but I kinda think that may be the reason for the earlier miscarriage, but we never found out.

Thanks for the good vibes and glad you got your beautiful son!

Still doing the MT thang? I know, after downloading all my work for the weekend and getting my least favorite doc of all time... 47 minutes of him, no less.... I'm starting to think the old punching out at 5 p.m. on Friday thing sounds kinda good

So he got a head start on the elation thang... I'm sure confirmation will send him through the roof though :D

How's that sweet doggie of yours doing? The 3-legged one? Oh, and the pit bull you rescued awhile back... doing better, I hope? I fell in love with that one.... you're the best for doing what you do

26. Well then
if it turns out that you aren't (which I'm hoping isnt't the case) then you know what they say...try, try again.

*behave, flvegan, behave*

Sorry, anyway...

My big boy is doing great, and is happy to be the topic of Lounge flamewars. The little girl is doing fantastic, and her previous abuser is enjoying, or at least enduring, the best gift I can give (that keeps on giving, no less)...

Punishment.

I will tell her that you said that, though. Very kind.

Geesh, I thought the only flamewars were over pit bulls.... you know, those born killers how just happen to pick up the urge to kill, regardless of how their owners treat them :eyes: Gawd, I hate pit bull flamewars... so much misinformation, so damn little time

35. "Certified humane eggs"
A flamewar worthy of inclusion amongst the Corn Flakes and Fat Actresses of the Lounge. Search it...it's funny.

Pit bull threads are less comedic. That is, unless someone REALLY wants to have their ass handed to them.

I have two hands, and I can lift a LOT of ass.

So much for the Nuvaring.... although, to be fair, most birth control doesn't work for me. The IUD was the only thing that worked and I can't use it anymore :(
