I am using this new software I bought today to transfer my old video tape toDVD using my computer..

It comes with a Video Capture Hardware device, one ends plugs into the USB port the other end is for your analog video source like a vcr or old style camcorder.

Can even had music, and menus.

I was looking for something like this.

No real fancy editing but I can do that later.

The video goes to the DVD.

I bought it with my Gift card from Best Buy, I would never had gone into Best Buy otherwise.

I have old high 8 camcorder, and piles of video tape.

The software was not that expensive, and it also came with extra editing software.

This would pay for itself if anyone has video tape they would like to transfer.

I have some great stuff on high 8 video tape.

I have the last Halliburton protest here in Houston when the cops went crazy.

I was in the middle of it, one cop tried to kill me with horse.

I really didn't want to send my old tapes out and I'm not sure how much is on them anyway. I've been quoted pricing for 2 hours max per tape and I think it would get very expensive fast for what may amount to one of the kids looking cute while sleeping.

So, you're saying this is simple to use? The old camcorder works but won't hold a charge. I can still use it plugged in though.

I really like it.

If someone has a lot of tapes the expensive would add up.

I think it is a good deal.
