HELP! How do I convert Itunes downloads to MP3 format?
I'm never going to understand this crap. My daughter has an Ipod, my son has an mp3 player. There are a bunch of songs they BOTH wanted so I thought I could download them from Itunes and put them on both of their players.
What the hell am I missing?

1. I think they are already in MP3 format
Burn them on a CD from iTunes. Then load them on your son's player from that CD.
That's how I do it for friends without iPods.

4. Why do you want to?

Converting from one compressed audio format (m4a) to another (mp3) isn't going to improve the sound quality any. But if you really want to, first you need to downlaod a program to remove the DRM protection from the files (if they're in m4p format, which is copy-protected); Hymn is supposedly a good utility for this.

Then you need a conversion utility; THIS is supposedly a good one (you'll need the proper audio codec for the iTunes format, which is HERE).
