5. I don't work Mondays anyway - but I'm not sure this counts as a day off.
My kids are home! :D

One child is upstairs playing in his room with the door shut, and the other one is still asleep. She's only 7, but she sleeps in like a teenager.

There's really nothing I "should" be doing right now. I did a thorough housecleaning on Saturday afternoon, I've already got a load of laundry in, and I can just relax for a while. Later on, I'll need to iron. And I suppose I'd better watch Days Of Our Lives also. ;)

And no, I don't believe your posts repel people.

10. He-he! You tell 'em, GOPisEvil.
The seamstress at my local dry cleaners took the day off,
even though the store is open for business, today.

She's African American, basically said - screw you, it's King's birthday!

Good for her!!

I'm glad you got to stay home.

13. Hi Bertha!
You sure as hell don't repel me.
Never, never, never!

I'm supposed to be doing laundry right now.
My laundry "room"( it's like a shed) is outside.

Being a weather wimp, I'm waiting for it to heat up
a bit more before heading outside.
We have very cold weather, here in SoCal, right now.

14. We have a bank holiday today.
So I reckon I'll go out pedalling wearing summer shorts (winter shorts are a bit longer) and sandals again. Tomorrow the frigid temps are supposed to return.

16. Other - I "should" head to the gym and hit the treadmill
The weather sucks here, so I don't want to walk outside. An icy tree limb may fall on my head. So I planned to go to the gym thing. But I'm procrastinating, reading and posting on DU.

I can do this ... so can you:

STEP AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTER AND GET SOME WORK DONE!!!

(like I'd listen to THAT!)

26. Same here.
Had to pull myself away from Star Trek on TVLand and crank up the car in 20 degree weather here in N. Cal. Cold snap, cold snap, cold snap. Everyone at home snug in bed. Hardly anyone the highway going into work.

21. Take the day off and hang out in coffee shops and the like.
When your fellow denizens of the OC start complaining about how cold it is, interject with stories of what REALLY cold weather is like. They'll hate that because it makes them seem like whiners.:P

True story: Once in San Francisco I overheard a couple talking about cold weather at one of the Tahoe ski areas. One bubblehead said to the other: "How cold, like NYC cold?" I almost spewed my drink, I was laughing so hard.

23. Last night, we went to the video store to pick up some movies
I was dressed in a t-shirt and capris, and no lie, there were people in the store dressed like Nanook of the North, with the big ol' North Face parkas, hats and gloves.
