Showing how "out of it" I am, I suppose - but it doesn't make a damn bit of sense!

1. relates to when a tv series begins to fall apart and become ridiculous
or silly...such as the episode of "Happy Days" when they had the Fonzie character jumping (with his motorcycle) over tank with a bunch of sharks circling. I guess it's when a series begins its decline.

3. ah - thanks.
I had no freakin' idea and you know how you hate to appear *stooopid* by asking a stupid question, but I just got really tired of not knowing what the heck people were talking about.

Thanks again.

2. When a TV show is past its prime. It's named for Fonzie's "jumping the shark"
motorcycle stunt on Happy Days, the moment when many believe Happy Days should have been well and truly over.

5. Didn't Fonzie jump the shark on waterskis?
Or is my recall of Happy Days a bit fuzzy?

7. Could be. I thought the show had "jumped the shark" much earlier
and wasn't watching at the time he jumped the sharks. :)
