Memo: avoid re-gifted venison sausage.
Note to anyone who may find themselves living in the sticks one day:

Suppose a neighbor comes over with a big bag of frozen deer sausage. He got a bunch from an unnamed third party, and wanted to empty out his own freezer. So you take a few chubs.

Do not then cook it and eat it. It shall be disappointing, and you shall lament using the last of whatever ingredients you cooked along with it on something you wind up sending down the disposal.

That is all. :)

1. Robb, silly...if the venison sausage would have been good...
your friend would have held onto it. :D

Nothing is better than venison sausage made right. Nothing is worse than venison sausage made badly.
