Rapture Index down to 160. We need to do something to frighten them and help the raise up the number

1. If we claim to be Christ, it will boost the false prophets index.
That's pretty easy to do.

2. Ecumenism is the Mainline Protestant Religeons
Aka, non Fundie Christians. The Methodists, Presbetyrians (sp?), American Baptists, Lutherans, Episcopals, etc.

Fundies don't like them because they bring reason and science to the table.

4. Ecumenical faiths believe there is room for everyone in the family of Christ...
without requiring individuals all to believe in exactly the same way and allowing for differences in interpretation.

5. As well as a non-literal interpretation of the bible right?
They see the Bible as the inspired word of god, rather than the direct word - right?

6. I can't speak for everyone, but...
I would say that the faiths led to ecumenism would be interpretive Bible readers rather than literal readers, yes.

7. Ecumenism is churches coming together, regardless of denomination
An ecumenical prayer service, for example, would be open to any christian wishing to participate. Or a social service group may be called ecumenical, because it is sponsored by more than one denomination.

People who believe that the end of the world is coming view ecumenicalism as a sign of the end. I'm not sure exactly what scripture they use as their basis for this belief, but there is a belief among more conservative christians that ecumenicalism creates too much confusion about what is and isn't christian belief.
