I have heat and hot water!
But there is still a power line hanging over the driveway and although the maple tree still has not fallen on my house, it looks imminent to me.
I don't like winter much today.

1. Ice Storm?
hate those things

we lucked out and only had a little ice in Arkansas

Oklahoma had a bunch

sounds like you had a lot

glad your power is back on, that's the worst thing about an ice storm to me, the power and the damage they do.

:hi:

3. Yup.
Ice. Wretched. We slept on the living room floor and couches in case the tree takes out our bedroom roof.

4. Oh Man, That Sucks!
gotta get that tree cut down quick!

We had a really bad one a few years back and had no power for several days and lost a couple of trees, and there were trees down everywhere.

I feel for ya!

6. It is a shame, this is a lovely maple.
Our yards are going to look empty without it.

2. heat, hot water and an internet connection?
Just flaunt your conspicuous consumption you capitalist running dog. What about all the starving people in Bomevia?

I do not know if an ice storm is normal winter. If it wasn't so darn warm, it would have been snow rather than freezing rain. Keep yourself warm.

5. Well if we hadn't had to bomb those people into the stone age
the Bomevians would have the internets too.

I know longer know what a "normal" winter is. But ice storms suck.

7. Fortunate here...
Lots of limbs down, sporadic outages, but we were spared. My oak tree has a large limb down, but the tree is no where near the house. School was canceled in our district, which gave me a long four day weekend. I enjoyed the beauty of the glistening ice coated landscape from the warmth of my living room.

I hope that the people living in the rest of the path of this tremendous storm are recovering.
