1. It's a masturbatory fantasy for freepers
oohhh, a bomb is going to be set off, and the only way to prevent it is to torture someone.

What fun.

3. Keifer, the executive producer, is not a freaking republican.
If you would watch it you would know that the idiots are wrong about it. They just like the explosions, but they don't get it. It's too cerebral for them.

5. They do not give a pass to the Bush Administration.
Right now, Jack is dealing with the aftermath of being tortured. AND he fought like hell to keep someone from being tortured last season. He lost the argument, but he argued against it. I don't understand where the criticism comes from. There are shows I don't watch because they are too easy on Chuckle Nuts.

Giving nerve agents to terrorists.

8. You're not wrong. The two really good presidents have been Democrats AND black.
The really awful, corrupt president was a Republican. There was another Republican president who was just okay, but he got wasted.

12. Yep
By U.S. Marshals along with the Secret Service under orders from the Attorney General.

I expect we will eventually find out what happened to Logan as he is scheduled to be in some episodes this season.

9. People who don't actually watch the show say it leans right. Those of us who
actually watch it see how it really shows the RW in a very poor light. Almost all of the best, most decent people on the show are moderate or left, if their politics can be determined at all.

10. I don't think KO has ever watched the show.
It's just an implausibly-written thriller, using many of today's themes and headlines as story ideas.

Fear mongering? Nah. There ARE a few terrorists out there, many of them WOULD like to blow us up, and our government IS mostly incompetent and unprepared. So, yeah, that part could CONCERN me. But the plotline is so far-fetched and over-adrenalized that no one takes it seriously. It's just entertainment.
