Today's was a "pray for the troops" chain e-mail. I think it may have been sent by someone who knows someone I know, because I didn't recognize their name.

I don't mind passing along items asking people to contact their reps. But passing prayers along is just a little too evangelical to me. Besides, how many prayerful Americans would not include those who are serving in Iraq? Not many, I'll bet.

Prayer is a private endeavor as far as I'm concerned. I realize that isn't how everyone looks at it, but it's my perspective.

9. I just ignore them

I don't send a response and I don't forward them, they just go to the trash folder.

God doesn't mind, I'm sure his inbox is fuller than mine ever could be and he uses the trash folder from time to time to time.

The urban myths ones drive me nutts, I send the snopes page debunking them. That generally stops their ready flow. :)

Into the trash. No reply, no forward. They really irritate me.

The urban myths drive me nuts too. I've sent a snopes or truthorfiction reply back on a couple and people got really pissy and offended about it (one was my younger sister - you'd have to know her to understand :eyes: ). So now they generally go straight to the trash too.

My sister (who would never consider taking the time to actually type a personal message to someone) will forward that crap to anyone she has ever met. She sends out so many of them that she loses track and sends the same ones over and over. :argh:
