Guilty plea reached in Shoney's strangling case (Va.)

The Mechanicsville woman accused of attacking a fellow customer at a Shoney's restaurant entered a guilty plea today. Donella Haywood-Gregory, 59, pled guilty to assault and battery.

She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, all of which were suspended. Deputies say a woman made a remark to Haywood-Gregory last October about where the buffet line started. The two exchanged words, then Haywood-Gregory started to strangle a friend sitting with the other woman.
