Meow! Meow! Meow!

I took my kid to a nature center today. After visiting the exhibit, we went for a hike along some of the trails nearby. At one point, I looked up and saw this grey cat bounding downhill toward us, enthusiastically meowing. Of course, we had to pet her since she was so happy to see us. She followed us for a little while, then went back.

I don't think she was a stray. She had a collar, seemed well-fed, and had a nice clean coat. I guess she just likes visitors.

She sounds happy.. I hope no one takes her though, cats on the loose aren't that safe I think.

2. If it was my cat, she wouldn't be outdoors at all.

But I don't know...maybe she got out by accident and couldn't get back in.

I'm sure there are large birds of prey and foxes in the area, possibly coyotes as well.

The center is located in the midst of suburbia; and she cam running from the direction of a bunch of houses that bordered on the woods.

She had a little collar on with a "happy face" tag attached. It suited her personality purrfectly. ;-)

We did, immediately after we got home. I've got 2 kitties here, and I wanted to make sure I didn't bring home some sort of feline flu. :hi:
