I haven't seen the show. What's all the fuss about?

1. Im my opinion, it's the best show on TV right now. I have loved
it from the very first episode. I managed to get my husband hooked last eyar and my son this year. The opening of this season was penciled in on my calendar for months. *Nothing* could have stopped me from watching it on Sunday and Monday night. And Monday nights from now until the end of the season are booked.

I like it for the intrigue, action and plot twists. I know that it's not how things work in the real world, but hey, it's only a TV show and it's a darn good one.

Plus, Kiefer is HOT!

2. Depending on who you ask, it's either the worst RW propaganda ever created
(usually people who haven't seen the show) or one of the most entertaining television shows on the air (people who do watch it). Then there are others who just don't care for it. Me, I happen to really enjoy it and I can't believe how upset some folks get about it. I actually find that the politics can swing to the left far more often than they swing to the right.

3. There's just too much stuff on TV these days
and I really don't have time to watch ANY of it.

That's why I'm trying to avoid Scrubs. I like it, but I don't have time to watch it, so I don't want to get hooked.

As far as 24, all I know is that 24 has something to do with the number of hours in a day and the format of the show.

4. The show is done in "real time" so each episode corresponds to one hour
in the day, with one day making up a season. Of course, you never see Jack go to the bathroom, sleep, or have a meal (well, I think I've seen him eat once or twice). But I guess since that particular day is extraordinary, you're supposed to believe that normally the characters would be doing their jobs, eating, sleeping, etc. And really insane things happen like a character getting shot in the neck, almost dying, going into surgery, then going back to work a mere 6 hours later. Since hour 10 and hour 16 air 6 weeks apart, sometimes you forget how preposterous this is until you think about. And when you think about a season as a whole and realize how much has happened to each character over the course of 24 hours, it's downright laughable. But for some reason, it sucks you in and it's totally addictive.

Yeah, I don't have time for TV anymore either. I do enjoy 24 though. I can't help it. I'm hooked.
