Click it next to the threads that you don't intend to post on or follow. They will disappear so it will make navigation less crowded. For example, I remove automatically all threads with the terms : cat, kittens, feline frind.... That's because I don't care a bit about cats and they annoy me....lol

7. There's a little [X] box next to threads in the list of each forum...

You can click that box and the thread will disappear. Then there's a way to manage the threads you have hidden. Hope that helps...
