It's time for Paul Harvey to retire.
You have probably have already heard about Paul Harvey's commentary on MLK Day. He seem to pick that day to slam the people of New Orleans who were stranded during the havoc of Hurricane Katrina.

On his commentary, Harvey referred to the recent snow storms in Denver comparing them to what happened in New Orleans and the Gulf States. Harvey went on to state that in this recent storm "that nobody bad mouthed the government or FEMA, nobody looted, and the mayor and governor did not blame the President..." or something to that effect. I found it strange that Paul Harvey would mention this on MLK Day. You don't suppose it is maybe it was the fact that prior to Katrina that New Orleans' population was predominately African-American???

The man is just an old curmudgeon. His day has passed. You can hear that particular commentary on his website. Just go to the Monday Noon streaming link. What is really funny is that on Paul Harvey's website is that he is proclaimed "The Voice of The Millennium". I almost laughed.

Now you know....the rest of the story!

2. Harvey was relying on that POS email that's been going around
The one that was originally about North Dakota, and now has been altered to be about Colorado. http://www.snopes.com/katrina/soapbox/dakota.asp

Lazy asshole...acts like he writes original stuff when he's just stealing it. Someone should call him on his BS. The ND turn-again CO/FEMA comparisons are so wrong, and already shown to be BS backed by the facts.

3. In other words Paul Harvey is a phony.
Yeah and you know what is scary is that he is grooming his son to take his place after he dies and he sounds exactly like him. :scared:

4. When he said, on the air,
"if you don't miss "Ronnie" (Reagan) then you just aren't American", I turned him off for good.

7. I got the same fucking email from one of my friends.
He probably got in his inbox and thought it was worth sharing. The blizzard had nothing on Hurricane Katrina. What an idiot.

8. Where's the link to his comments?
I could swear this has been floating around since before MLK day.

Often these stupid tirades are attributed to celebs like Andy Rooney, and George Carlin. They love to takc a big name onto stuff like that.

You sure about this one?

9. He's "The Voice of the Millenium" because...
...he's a thousand years old.

Granted, he's a legend in the broadcasting business, but he should have bowed gracefully years ago. The main reason he's still on so many stations is because ABC requires it for stations that carry their news service. They've been known to do things like that. Think Mark Levin got all those affiliates because he has talent? HA! It's a throw-in with Hannity's show.

10. I haven't listened to him for years
I'll bet it's been 10 years at least since I listened to his program. I'm glad now I don't.
