Vegetarian Question
Alright, I know I wouldn't able to go full on vegetarian, so I adopted another tactic, I would have "vegetarian days". For example, on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday I would not consume any meat or meat products, and the rest of the days I would eat what I normally would eat. Are there any health risks that I might encounter by doing this?

3. We do the same thing in my house...
Eat a strictly vegetarian meal on a regular basis. It cant possibly be bad for you, UNLESS the cows get wind of it. Then...WATCH OUT!

Nothing like a cranky cow to ruin your day

4. you might find
that as your body adapts to more vegetarian meals, your meat meals will see awfully heavy and you might end up weaning yourself off meat almost completely.

Our son became a vegetarian about seven years ago. Since then, the entire family has eaten MUCH less meat. While I still enjoy a good pork chop once in a while when we go out, I don't really have much desire for that thick juicy steak anymore. What used to seem so yummy now seems a little gross. I think the body does a nice job of adapting, particularly if you are a pretty good cook and experiment with lots of different vegetarian recipes to find a balanced diet that works for you.

5. That sounds healthy
As long as you eat pretty healthy, nutritiously, that sounds like a good idea. You'll still get nutrients that are more dominant in meat that will be stored in your body. You'll probably lower your cholesteral and be healthier in other ways by cutting down on meat. I don't see any problems with that strategy as long as you feel alright, of course, and don't have any medical problems that be aggrevated by change in diet.

6. IMO, this is what proselytizing vegetarians should push.
You won't be able to convince most people to go entirely meat-free. (Right here, baby.) So why not encourage meat-free days? If the goal is to reduce meat consumption, this would work far better than attacking meat-eaters outright.

BTW, I don't eat meat about 1-2 days per week, sometimes 3. That works for me. But I will never be able to give it up completely.

7. Catholics ate no meat
on Fridays until sometime in the 70's, I think. It was OK to eat fish though. I worked in a Deli in th 60's and on Fridays we always had a run on tuna. Many Catholics choose not even to eat fish as well, so for many many years you have an example of people not eating meat at least one day a week and no health concerns.
I personally know many vegetarians,10 years or more, who are in excellent health. More and more people become vegetarian because of health reasons.

10. Not that I know of. Just supplement your diet with vitamins like
vitamin B-12, which will give you protein to make up for the meat products.
