So I Got Me A Talking Toaster
well not really a talking toaster, but one with a radio. Just what everyone needs.

Inspired by TexanWitch's thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x6073137

Mine is silver. They had red, yellow, and silver in stock at my big lots.

Now I'm hanging out here, reading some things I have to read for work. And hoping that I get sleepy before 2 am tonight since I have to drive to Little Rock in the morning.

What are you doing tonight?

2. Well I am envious.
My little store only had one color to pick from.

Going to have to drive all the way over to the big Big Lots to see what colors I can pick from there.

Everyone needs a toaster radio.

except for ISP. Weird, huh?

So I have a friend that records the shows for me, so I can watch them with a week's delay.

Then, when it becomes available on DVD, I buy it. It's that good.

The show is extremely metaphysical; Kind of like Bugs Bunny, in a way: it speaks in a different language to children than it does to adults.

Only more so.

I highly recommend the show; at least from the pilot through season 2.5, after that, I can't vouch.

an ipod that you can then tune your radio station to it and listen to your playlists on the radio station over your vehicle's stereo system. Got me a double shot espresso can from Starbucks. Will pick me up a Cappacino, maybe some amphetamines (kidding about that one) and drive with the tunes blaring. The worst thing is that I will be driving east in the morning. There might not be much sun which will be good. I hate that drive really. It is a pretty boring drive.

I just have to stay awake and I'll be fine.

What will they think of next?
;-)

I'm taking Tylenol after a long visit at the dentist's office today.

It's the worst- a pounding, throbbing tooth he can't find anything wrong
with- it has a root canal! WTH? why the pain?

He cleaned the area very well, and filled a cavity I did have in another tooth.

So, I'm crossing my fingers that this will work.

Tooth pain is no fun.

I might be able to in the future. My personal life has enough stress and strife without adding the bonus of the tension and squabbling in those forums.

I used to love it though. Just not now. The lounge is either healing or destructive. I choose to believe it is healing.

79. This little kitty was loud.
I couldn't leave her and she was so tame.

She is nice, big kitty now.

81. She wasn't very sweet when I took SNAP for her surgery.
I had to get her out of the cage to take her home, the tech's wouldn't touch her.

She was all teeth until she saw me.

83. The name did fit her when she was younger, not now.
She did not like being at the vet.

84. My dog that died didn't like the vet either
when he was very young. But they tried to use a Loop on him, and that really didn't go over well on him.

He mellowed a lot in his old age. He was really neurotic, like he'd been abused or something when I got him. He was a Dalmatian.

85. With my dog I have to hold her head behind me so she can't see what is going on.
We were attacked by pit bulls when she was 6 months old and she had to go to the vet for treatment.

She had a bad bite on the neck, I had beat the pit bull off her with a pipe.

She does not like the Vet.

67. You wouldn't have to miss any of the movie....
while you make your popcorn!

Actually, my ("weird") joke was meant to comment on superfluous electronic combinations. But, a toaster/radio has a certain evocative quality. I imagine it sitting on a farmhouse table covered with a checkered tablecloth in front of a window with a breeze blowing the gingham curtains.

OR, it could be sitting on a kitchen table in an old SRO apartment on Skid Row.

OR, it could be sitting on my kitchen counter! :bounce:

68. Yes the toaster radio would like great on your kitchen counter.
I don't know why someone didn't think of this sooner.

I like the design of the toaster radio.
