Can "The Hitcher" possibly cover it's advertising expenses?
From what I can tell it appears to be the only movie available in the theaters right now

:wow:

The worst part is that I think I have seen the whole movie from watching the commercials...but I think that there is a surprise ending that we all can see from a mile away.

;-)

1. First it was a movie, then a series on Showtime, now a remake?
For the last time, folks: If the hitchhiker looks, in any way, like Rutger Hauer/Sean Bean, DO NOT PICK HIM UP!

2. That's what I thought
By the way I hated that show on Showtime-I HEARD that it showed boobie one time and we adolescent males kept watching mostly for no reason what so ever. :grr:

3. Skin-e-max is the KING for that sort of thing (or so I hear)....
When I worked at MediaOne many years ago, people would call asking for The Playboy Channel. A few of our reps would say, "Just get Cinemax. It's cheaper and much better."

I loved it when the overhead monitors (36" Sonys!) were showing our West Coast feed early in the East Coast a.m. (nothing like Calipornia's 4:00 a.m. Sin-E-Max feed showing Emanuelle 13 during your morning coffee).

6. OMG. That is too funny.
Right after I had my 10yo, I was nursing her in bed really late at night and turned on the TV to watch. Well, in the process of 'switching sides', the remote fell to the floor and I ended up watching some Japanese porn on Cinemax at 4AM.

I couldn't change the channel, couldn't lower the sound, NADA, because this particular infant had a hard time nursing right out of the shoot and since she was content, there was no way I was going to disturb her.

It was bizarre.

STOP remaking classics for a quick buck....I like Bean, but Rutger Hauer is the ONLY "Hitcher" there will ever be

8. I tend to agree.
I like Sean Bean too, but to remake the Hitcher? To try getting into the Rutger Hauer role? That's a tall order for anyone.

10. Julian Mcmahon
was up for this role but I was so glad he did not get this one. I'm not personally a fan of horror flicks myself and I knew those who are weren't going to appreciate a remake after reading comments on IMDB.

So glad Julian got Premonition with Sandra Bullock instead. Now that one I am looking forward to.
