1. It's the body's way of readying you for the next eighteen years.
Of course if you already have kids, or a job or even reading to do, it's a major inconvenience.

3. Work and school right now
Youngest kid is seventeen and pretty self-sufficient, so at least I get a break there. I keep telling myself that I should get an early start on work this weekend, but all I want to do is crawl in bed and sleep :boring:

4. You probably should take a nap.
Babybelladonna is sucking the strength right out of you! Your youngest kid is seventeen? Wow, that's a significant gap. You're gonna have fu-un! :7

5. Heh, my oldest is 22
And I'm already a grandmother... geez, I don't know why, but I just realized how weird it's going to be. My grandson will be older than my child :wow:

6. Weird but wonderful. And you will stay young that much longer!
Or so they claimed when I had my last child at 36. :eyes:

7. Haha... My mom was 36 when I was born.
She says she briefly (VERY briefly) considered doing it again, when I was about 1 or 2, then said, "Aw, fuck, what do I want to do that to myself again for?"

8. Me and your Mom... we have something in common!
I've had one or two seconds of feeling maternal since Henry was born, but no more than that. You can't be all that bad, WIMR :P

9. Oh, and they say
that it is only in the first trimester, which is total CRAP!! I had my son this past June and I was exhausted through out the entire pregnancy. I am now 24 weeks along, again with my "Surprise!" last one. Mine will be 10-1/2 months to 11 months apart, and I have a 9 year old daughter. I am still exhausted and work 45 hours a week, and come home to take care of my family. It is tough.

10. I remember feeling DRUGGED for the first trimesters of my pregnancies.
One day, I was driving less than half a mile from my house and I was petrified that I couldn't make it home without falling asleep at the wheel. My head started to do that nodding thing. It came over me so suddenly, it was frightening.

11. That's how I feel lately
Downright drugged. The worst thing is I'll be feeling fine and, five minutes later, I'm ready to doze off

15. The bad news is
the same thing may happen when you're perimenopausal, and it can last a lot longer than a few months.

16. Oh, man. I can remember getting settled in at work in the morning, already
wondering how early I could go to bed that night.

17. It was especially bad for me after I ate...
I would go to the deli about a mile from my job and would literally be falling asleep at the stop lights on the way back to work. I could never get enough sleep. 12 hours, 14 hours, it was never enough.

18. Give in.
God knows that nine months from now, that's still all you'll want to do, and by then, you won't be able to. ;)

19. Well, you'll have that energetic middle bit right around finals
Then you can do the tiring home stretch and the nesting over the summer, right?

Still, I remember that bone-weariness and it does suck.
