4. Did I ever tell you the story of the gator on my MD-80?

I was getting ready to push back from the gate at BOS. A flight attendant from the rear of the aircraft came running into the cockpit. He screamed, "Don't push! We have a gator in the galley!"

I sent the first officer back to the rear galley. I waited and waited. Then I heard passengers cheering and clapping. I looked backed and saw the F/O coming up the aisle, grinning like a politician, holding a hissing, squirming 4-foot gator by the tail and the neck. We made CNN. The gator made it to the Boston zoo. We never figured out how it got on the MD-80. True story (Ca. early 2001 or late 2000).
