Jebus...just CAn NOT get head...I paid with a Credit Card
and it's backordered. Why is a copy of this Monkees classic so hard to secure?

2. Lizzie...
:loveya:

Sorry....last-night's-dream flashback... :D

I've been very, very good (no -- not boasting of my prowess, that I wouldn't recognize if it prowessed me...I mean that in the sense that I have had a nice few days at work) and I hope that very-very-goodness is what's filling your day, too.

3. Sigh...
"Sorry....last-night's-dream flashback... :D " You know exactly what to say.

Wait, reality. Lelapin's home this weekend to help me get some things done around here. That is, if she'll ever wake up. I miss not having her around but that's all part of it. I tried to raise her to be independent and confident. The result? She doesn't hang around the house much. ;)

I've got 7 jobs bookmarked to apply for this weekend. One is with a community development group doing great work here in the city. Send those positive vibes. I stay in a vocation I'm not crazy about if I believe in the organization and it's mission.

I'm glad you've been good.

:loveya:

13. I hope that the job applications are going well this weekend, Ms lizzie
(now I've got the Beatles' "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" stuck in my head!)

(cool!)

I hope that the weekend is going well for you in other ways, too, but I am sending you uber-positive vibes for securing not just a good job but one that is just right for you, in every way. And also my wish that the lovely and charming Ms lelapin is both great company and does the dishes. :D

:loveya:

Edited on Sun Jan-21-07 04:17 PM by lizziegrace
My parents called me ditzy. Is that close? ;)

It was wonderful having Lelepin around. She did all the things my lungs can't tolerate, like dusting and vacuuming.

She's the best. I must've done something right. ;)

 for you Forrest.

:loveya:

4. It was remastered for DVD, but it's not the widescreen edition...
:(

A terrific movie in of itself. Even if it was made in an attempt to kill off the manufactured image once and for all.

I doubt it sold well and few copies were released; which is why it is not easy to get.

6. Never heard of it, but it's now on my NetFlix queue
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I remember the TV show well. I was a pre-teen, and they seemed to be targeting my demographic. We bought the albums and all, but in those days, if the movie didn't come to your town, you probably never even knew it existed.

Can't wait to watch!

11. Everyone needs a little Head...
 I hope yours is off backorder soon. :loveya: ;) :*

Seriously, I loved the Monkees then and now. :loveya: When my parents took us kiddies to see Head in the theatre (we begged her, and after all, it was THE Monkees!), my mother was horrified. :yoiks: She considered it a "drug" movie (which, in all truth, it was), but my siblings and I were not old enough yet to understand what that meant. To this day, it's one of my favorite Monkees venues. :D

12. Well, now I feel bad

Here I was, just being a smartass copycatter -- I couldn't resist...it's an illness -- and I get actual substantive responses.

On the bright side, though, I have always wanted to see this film and now I know how to go about it. :D

And thank you, Ms Chick1981, for your well wishes. Yes, I hope to get Head soon, but -- in the meantime -- there's always this classic to enjoy over and over and over again:

Yeah, baby...and then, in 15 pulse-pounding episodes:

:D
