I'm Thinking This Sounds Very "Kansas-esque"

I really like it. I don't think the Decemberists sound particularly like Kansas in other songs, but this one, well what do you think? (This is only actually part of the song)

in fact, tinfoil tiaras is responsible for that because she had a thread about them a while back.

Now I've got their CD, downloaded a few songs from i tunes, and really like them.

I was listening to the CD and this song really struck me as to how much it sounded like a Kansas song

6. many of the songs on the first album by a pop group called Jet

from Austrailia had bits of Golden Earring, Cheap Trick, Kansas, and The Cars throughout.

It was a lot a fun to play "spot the 70s/80s pop hook."
