5. So many others... where to start?
Edited on Sun Jan-21-07 01:36 AM by Montauk6
Stevie Wonder
Grady Tate (not only an accomplished jazz drummer but many of the 40-somethings here may remember his voice Saturday mornings singing to us about "mean ol' number nine")
Paul McCartney (listen to him go to town on "Dear Prudence")
Pete Rivera (Rare Earth's lead singer and drummer)
Don Henley

8. Levon, all the way.
Edited on Sun Jan-21-07 01:44 AM by speedoo
Listen to his lead on The Weight, The Night They Drove Old Dixie, down and other great songs from The Band.

Henley's good too, but Levon gets my vote.

10. Definitely Levon!
One of my favorite "albums" and videos, as I'm dating myself here, is the "Last Waltz", what love and passion! We could all learn from that!

11. Have you read Levon's autobio?
It's great. He doesn't have many kind words for Robbie or Scorsese about 'Waltz' though.

20. He can flat out play the drums.
He puts on a good concert, too.

I just wish I had seen Genesis back when all of them were together, like the Lamb concert. But, I was just 5 then, so, it may not have made much sense to me.

:D

25. Go Redskins!
I went to the Redskins game when they played at New Orleans just before Christmas. Being the only Redskins fan, it was a quiet bus ride back!

36. Same here.
I still can't figure out why an offensive genius (Joe Gibbs) would approve of a situation where someone else comes in...makes all the offensive calls...and gets paid $2 million a season! Referring to Saunders of course.

I'm worried the current version of the Redskins will reduce the league-wide respect for Gibbs. I'm glad he's back, but I don't want his legacy to be tarnished like this.

39. Towards the end of the season, the offense improved some.
Except the red zone. Last year, once they got into the 20, they were money with passes to Cooley and Sellers. This year, they seemed to stray away from that. Oh, and the intermediate passing game disappeared. The first 3 quarters, throw for 3 yards, the fouth quarter when down by 15, throw interceptions.

The main thing that concerned me this year was the defense. I am not sure if I like Greg Williams. So many GOOD former players have been saying things, and you don't hear that sort of stuff from the offensive players who moved on.

been on the top of the list, IMO. See for yourself:

32. It Don't Come Easy was a great song
There was even a Simpsons episode where Marge talked about her crush on Ringo. She painted his portrait, so she could send it to him, and the background music was.....you guessed it...."It Don't Come Easy".

He did lots of cool Carl Perkins stuff too, and I don't even like shitkick. But this was back in the days of good country, not fake cowboys who whine.

"Matchbox"
"Photograph"
"Act Naturally"
"Yellow Submarine"
"Everybody Wants to Be My Baby"
"You're Sixteen, You're Beautiful, and You're Mine"

I always liked his voice. Plus, he was the very high voices in a lot of the music including all that cool "Bohemian Rhapsody" stuff.

And who could not like "I'm in love with my car"?
