Okay, I'll give Lucas some credit
In the molested special edition DVD of "The Empire Strikes Back", when Vader and the Emperor (who is now thankfully acted by Ian McDermid) discuss Skywalker, it is presented in a way that doesn't ruin the big spoiler at the end.

Anyone watching these in IV-V-VI-I-II-III order will still get the big special moment.

And the enhancements in "The Empire Strikes Back" are worthy... pity we didn't get more extras, or even the original edition with a proper cleanup job or at least animorphic... still, for once I can't really complain. DAMN!

(though I still can't fathom why anyone would want to watch I, II, or III is beyond me... they're just video game graphics on a big screen. IV-VI didn't have as much eye candy, but it was well used. It's like the ideal relationship vs multiple times with a hooker. IMHO anyway... :D )

1. "why anyone would want to watch"
Right.. I mean I had to go to the openings and had to get the dvd's, but I've never watched them. I still watch IV, V & VI once in a while though (this I do on my own & mostly keep secret) They make me feel all warm and cozy :)

2. I was dissapointed with 1&2
Mainly because the pace was so that you really didn't care about the characters. In the original trilogy, you cared through all of them.

But Sith was pretty well done. I was hooked from the first two high c's, and the rolling script. The other two left me feeling as if they were just a narrative. But, Sith was pretty clever.

4. Replacing that chimp-eyed elderly woman with McDiarmid was mandatory
for continuity's sake. That was the best change in all of the films. That, and chaning the tractor beam's labeling from "TRACTOR BEAM" to the Star Wars alphabet characters.

7. Revenge of the Sith was pretty decent...
Empire is my favorite of the original trilogy
Incidentally, I fucking hate this guy:
