2. Yep, and I met him once in Miami in the '70s.
I worked for a city magazine and he came into our office for an interview.

And the Cisco Kid and Roy Rogers. Saturday mornings were for cartoons and the afternoons for westerns.

I was a certifiable airplane nut ("plane crazy," my mom called it) by the time I was 5, and the Cessna 310 was my first favorite plane.

11. Ha ha....I used to love to watch Sky King!
I have a friend who has been a pilot for a long time. Right after he graduated college he went to work for Kirby Grant at a boys ranch of some kind down in Texas I believe.
