Got bad weather? So does Hawaii...
You think you have it bad with your freezing temperatures and storms? What about "poor Hawaii"?

1. I am not allowed to access your link from work....
...could you please elaborate? I know they've had a hell of a lot of rain this year...with the Kona Express. Is that what you're referring to?

3. It is Triumph the insult comic dog doing the weather for Channel 8 in Hawaii
Even funnier than most of his bits and especially funny for those who have weather that is worse than "clouds" and "light winds"

4. Hilo on Hawai'i (Big Island) is by far the rainiest city in the U.S.
averaging 138 inches (!) annually, far outdistancing mainland champ Mobile, Ala. with a desert-like 60 in.

The larger Hawaiian islands act like miniature continents, with windward (east-facing) areas (like Hilo) being very wet while places in the rain shadow of the mountains (Kona, Lahaina on Maui, Honolulu etc.) are relatively dry, averaging but 20-30 in. a year.

5. Then there is western Kauai, in the high elevations.
Rainiest spot on Earth, they say ... 180 or so inches a year.
