In my deluded head, the day pitchers and catchers report is the first day of spring. I'll do anything to end winter a little sooner. :)

Although I see it a bit differently. That day is like Groundhog Day, when catchers come out of their squats and see the break on a slider, denoting that spring begins with the first pitch of the first pre-season game.

Because when pitchers and catchers report, I'm still living under a foot and a half of snow. By the time the first pre-season games roll around, we're usually out of the woods weather-wise. :bounce:
