Anyone enjoy the Michael Apted "Up" documentaries?
I just saw "42 Up" for the first time. It's so strange seeing peoples' lives compressed so effectively into two hours, and see how their philosophies and ideals change over the years.

Anyone else enjoy this series?

1. Yup
It's a fantastic series. I missed the first few but the way the director Michael Apted reprises earlier incidents makes you feel you haven't missed much.
These people being filmed are about my age so it's fascinating for me for personal reasons as well.
Apted was an assistant on the first one, 7 Up, back in the 60's when he was in his early 20s. He then took over the project and has been doing it ever since every seven years. He's done a bunch of feature films too, Coal Miner's Daughter, I guess, being his most well known.
