34. I do have the software but the amount of video tapes I have is feaking me out.

I have 3 piles, keep, get rid of, and I can't decide.

It is driving me crazy.

Some of the video tapes are of TV shows that I can buy on DVD.

But again I don't really want to buy the DVD's if I have tapes so I will convert to DVD's or on my external HD.

I will be busy for the whole year converting the tapes to DVD.

I did find some treasure.

Well, tomorrow I will go back to Big Lots and get another bookcase.

One thing I did do is label every tape, I would hate to have go though each tape.

I did find the Minister Mike tapes, those are great.

I knew Minister Mike, he was so funny.

He past away due to AIDs just a few months after he make the shows.

Overall, while ostensibly allowing DUers to avoid personal attacks and purposefully deliberate thread sabotage, it's also a tool to organically corral like-minded, hard-headed types who clearly can't stand dissent, and who would much rather post their opinion (the ONLY opinion) in every thread on that topic, than discuss their points rationally. If everyone who held a strong opinion was only allowed (by the decision of the tribe, to enable peaceful discourse) to post with those who thought the same way, maybe something constructive will happen there (or outside of there) because of it.

As you know, of course, that's not the way it's being used. Now it just seems that the weak and the bullies have decided that they will wield their powers for evil.

I don't like it, and I don't understand how telling us who's blocked is gonna help the harmonious love either.

DU is a big board, somebody is always going to be angry because of what they read.

I don't like the anti-southern threads, but I wouldn't block anyone who wrote one.

then the post they make will look normal except instead of being a place to "reply" it will say "cannot reply"

Tomorrow there will be a way to look at everyone's posts to see who if anyone they have blocked.

I think that will make people think about blocking people

Way back when Clinton was running for President a group I belonged to put Bush stickers on stop signs.

This was in Republican neighborhoods, it was dangerous.

The cops were trying to catch us, but didn't.

There werer STOP BUSH signs all over Republican country.

I found the best way is to not look at your post count, the number goes up faster that way.
