Ladies! Being catty.....
I've noticed as I've gotten older than dirt that sometimes I can be extremely snooty. I see an actress on TV, in commercials mostly, and depending what they're trying to sell, I make a catty remark to myself about some part of them.

Like how big their nose is, how yucky the color of their hair is, how you can see the vestiges of a mustache on their upper lip, what their teeth look like, or where the pimples are hidden by layers of foundation.

I never say it to others, nor do I derogate these people in public. I think it's a way of dealing with getting old while trying to make the next generation look as imperfect as mine was.

Anyone else find themselves looking way too closely at other women and even just thinking about the obvious imperfections, or am I the only one?

Another thing that I do that's similar is to look at women my own age on TV and see if they look older or younger than I am, and whether they've had a face lift or more. You can also usually tell a woman's age even if she's had a face lift because in many cases, the neck has a crepey look to it and can give away age more easily. I noticed this feature on Sally Field, who is now 60, on the Boniva commercials.

I guess I must be fairly normal in this desire to look younger, though I'm not sure if other women are as catty as I am in sizing up other women.
