1. Am I too blue for you?
Am I too blue?
When I cry like the sky
Like the sky sometimes,
Am I too blue?

If that didn't set off an earworm, you'd best listen to some more Lucinda, putz.;-)

3. I could have sworn I'd mentioned her. Sorry.
And if you haven't already checked out Aimee Mann you might want to do that soon, too.

4. I keep hearing that
but I guess I haven't gotten past the "voices carry" implication. Need to broaden up, I do. That and actually buy some new music...

:hi:

5. She sings like she is fucked up and horny all of the time, doesn't she?
And she is great.
Check out her pre-Car Wheels On A Gravel Road work. It's when she was at her absolute best.

6. That may be the single best description I've ever read of Lucinda Williams.
LOVE the woman.

14. Hot Blood - the way she sings that song
>>makes a guy wish she was his girl...

"Just a shakin' in my knees, just a cold chill
Don't know what it is, just call it a thrill
Just a lump in my throat, just hot blood
Don't know what it is, some call it love
Well I saw you out in your car
You had the top down, you were drivin' real slow

Well I saw you in the grocery store
Buyin' tomatoes for a casserole

Well I saw you in the laundrymat
Washin' your clothes, gettin' all the dirt out

Well I saw you with your car broke down
Fixin' your flat with a tire iron"

15. I was busy trying to enjoy
the fruits of my labor.

Damn you, now I'm going to have to go check out her touring schedule, and probably drive a very long distance to see her perform again. Thanks for the reminder. I've somehow lost her CD's....

Or did YOU steal them!??

18. Check out her single "Pineola" about a friend's suicide.
It may or may not be a true story, but her voice is wrenching.
