1. Hey...cool
Have you seen the version on the Scorsese doc? Dylan does a live version of GFTNC on the bonus disc that I really almost can't watch at all, much less with other folks in the room. It is so amazing at such a young age and sounds so ancient that it really flips me out.

Remember me to one who lives there....

3. I think you mean this:

I posted a bunch of youtube links from a Canadian TV show featuring a very young Dylan. Amazing stuff. Check out the Bob Dylan forum for others, including some incredible Rolling Thunder Review performances.

5. Bob Dylan and a few others are responsible for my surviving Viet Nam.
Music got me through those Ho Chi Minh Trail nights. AFVN-AM, Quang Tri (FROM THE DELTA TO THE DMZ!). I was on the DMZ end of AFVN-Radio.

6. Thank-you sir
:patriot:

From the Delta to the DMZ, huh? Sorry to say I can't tell you what that means in terms of coverage area. A powerful signal? Y'all pull it in good?

Take care, brother....

7. And I'm glad, soldier.
I was offshore, in a destroyer, planeguarding for the carrier Ranger. I'm very happy you made it back.

9. You real NAVY guys rocked! Big time.
I was I pseudo-Naval Aviator (Army flying SP-2Es under NATOPS). I loved it, when I was coasting-up for 18 hours in Laos, when I heard "NAVAL FIRE MISSION! SHOT OUT!" Look-out, NVA!

10. Man, I think we tried to do everything we could to support you guys.
My tour ended over there, so I was only there for a month or so. I used to love running things for shore bombardment with our 5 inchers, but I didn't get to do that.

If I could have stayed longer without re-upping for years, I would have. I had promised the wife I'd get back to her and the baby as soon as I could, so I did.

8. Here's a great way to start or expand a Dylan CD collection:
http://www.yourmusic.com/browse/album/Bob-Dylan--The-Limited-Edition-SACD-Hybrid-Set-60941.html?cname=BROWSE_DISCO_11688_ALBUMS

I received mine a few days ago, and the first album I played was Nashville Skyline. Amazing sound on these new discs. I used to kind of like the album, but I played it about four times the other day, and now I love it.

This set includes 15 albums, including all the great ones from the sixties (except for "The Times They are a Changin'") and seventies. All remastered, SACD and some in 5.1. Highly recommended.
