Guess the band by name origin quiz #2
Same as yesterday, but now with the stage names of individual artists as well. Add your own if you wish, and don't scroll down if you don't want to see others' answers. Enjoy!

1. Band name partially inspired by their incredibly brief song times.
2. Artist nicknamed for a particular colored sweater he once wore.
3. Band named for a song featured on the Beatles' "Magical Mystery Tour" TV special.
4. Artist nicknamed by parent for his love of "Peanuts" cartoons as a child.
5. Artist who chose first name because the U.S. Military would not accept initials (given at birth) as a first name.
6. Band named for Clark Gable's last film.
7. Band name chosen by frontman for being short, regal, and memorable.
8. Artist who used his first and middle name to avoid confusion with a popular athlete of the day.
9. Band named for an exit ramp.
10. Artist name inspired by his poor dental hygiene.
11. Band named for the working title of a Beatles song.
12. Band named for the charts used by surfers to determine intensity of waves.

19. Actually, you're right, it is.
Prince Rogers Nelson. I knew that! So it's Queen, then? Is Freddie Mercury short? For some reason, I always pictured him tall...

11. #11 is Badfinger (after "Badfinger Boogie")
and I'm guessing that #6 might be "The Misfits"...I think that was Clark Gable's last movie.

And #2....would that be Sting?
