the education courses, that is -- except for observations and student teaching. I loved it. No parking problems, work in jammies, drink an adult beverage while working if I wanted to, listen to music while working, read when I needed to and where I wanted to, and basically, not have to deal with getting my butt in a chair at a certain time. What I missed was comradarie and the exchange of ideas and experiences with other people. It's a trade off.
I was working full time so being able to save time in travel was really important.
As far as the instruction, well, most of it was in the reading. Most of the time, we wrote responses, essays, lesson plans, etc. The feedback was helpful most of the time. There were one or two instructors who sucked, but most were pretty good. I was pleased with the program and was finished with it and teaching with a full time contract as a fully certified teacher in less than two years (it was a post-bac program).
It worked for me!
