I got a great art gig doing a mural in a library!
I started it today. The theme is "dragons" and of course "reading". The space is tricky with tall built in book shelves, and a couple of windows that I must incorporate into the mural, and a door that isn't used. I do little planning when getting these kinds of jobs (it's my ADD, and my own spontaneous personality) -- which can be dangerous, but my first day went great!

I started with the unused door and faux painted it as a big old wooden castle door, just barely opening and a dragon carrying a book bag just stepping through it.

I'm excited, because these big jobs always lead to other big jobs!

2. Thanks. I love dragons, and I love books.
Two of my favorite things. :hi:

I'm going to paint a castle around all of my obstructions, and have different dragons reading books on top of the castle over the book shelves

6. It isn't my usual commissions.
Which makes it very fun. This job is going to be really fun, because it will be fantasy, and I love that genre. I usually do a lot of dog, and house portraits. Not to sound ungrateful, cuz I'm happy to get any work.

I'm really psyched about this!!

12. I sure will try to do my best.
I am not always very confident -- my own worse critic.
