2. I had to get up, go outside for a blast of cold air, and get some coffee
then rewind the last 40 minutes

Jesus, do the lights EVER come on?

3. The book Great Expectations has my vote
it's so fucking boring except for the last 10 chapters.

4. i usually read the current copy of "Manufacturing today" that will put anyone to
sleep fast unless you're looking for a new fork lift. My husband gets the most mind numbingly boring trade rags in the mail.

5. Not when I saw it.
I was so busy waiting for something interesting to happen that I kind of forgot to be bored. When it was over and nothing had, I was too angry to sleep.

Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellan, Paul Bettany, Jean Reno, Alfred Molina... I mean, with a cast like that, how could you miss? It's like Ron Howard said "I'm tired of being criticized for syrupy movies, so I'm going to do something different this time." No, Ron, no! You make syrupy movies. Some people hate them, but at least some people like them. Play to your audience, Ron. At least you'll make someone happy that way, instead of boring everyone to tears and wasting one of the better collections of talent on film in the last year.
