Econo Lodge holds ribbon cutting

PORT ARTHUR —
Travelers and visiting workers rejoice, there’s a new place in town to stay.

Econo Lodge Inn and Suites, which opened for business in December 2006, made it official with a ribbon cutting Thursday afternoon.

Rahul Patel, the son of Econo Lodge President Ramesh Patel, said he is looking forward to working towards prosperity together with the city and the Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce.

“Business has been very, very nice,” Patel said. “I’m surprised at how well we’re doing.”
