Why are two different men clamouring to claim fatherhood of Anna Nicole Smith's baby?
Edited on Fri Jan-26-07 04:24 PM by glarius
Am I the only one who finds it humourous that two different men are claiming to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby? It seems to me the usual thing is that the men would be scrambling to disclaim fatherhood. Hmmmm.... Could it have anything to do with the fact that Ms. Smith stands to inherit millions of dollars?.....Makes you wonder doesn't it?

P.S....Where's Maury Povich when we need him?

1. Establish paternity ...
... sue for custody, then demand big bucks for "child support".

18. Her marriage to Howard K. Stern is not a legal marriage...
but they have been together a LONG time. He was once her lawyer, and is now referred to as a longtime friend.

My thoughts are that the other guy is probably the father, but that neither Anna Nicole nor Stern want the baby to have anything to do with him.

21. Yes I agree. And I do know that the marriage isn't
legal in US, but I am guessing they will legalize it.

22. It brings up a point: If they were legally married
Would another man have the right to legally be declared the father if the husband wanted to be the father. I know that legally the husband is usually assumed to be the father but with the accuracy of paternity tests these days, another man might be able to prove that he really is the father.
I know that most "other men" would be happy to let the husband be the father and not be part of his child's life. I suppose some might though. Does this happen? If it is brought to court, what does the court usually decide?
