Now I know our "society" is fucked up.

1. What grocery store and why did you get bizarre looks?

3. Cub Foods, because I always have a 'glazed' look on my face?
I usually 'switch off' in public. The fear mechanism...

4. Hmmm. I don't think I would have given you a bizarre look.
:)

5. Thank you.
:) :pals:

It's sad. The way I've 'turn myself off' to escape the inherent emotion all these years, I should be content with it. And when people look at you or even tell you to your face you're a _______ (trust me, it leads to "bad misunderstandings" because of my fear of people. And when you have someone in your own 'community (gay men) actually tell you to your face some very horrible things just because you look intimidated to be there, it might help those who lost their favor with me understand WHY I feel the way I do at times. It's hard to consider somebody your friend when they break your leg while telling them to lean on them for support... This isn't self-pity. It is legitimately hard for me to be in public, people see it, and either try to bamboozle me, hurt me, or spit on me (with words or saliva) or worse...)

I should be proud. I am, after all, the product of our society just like how everybody else is. :D

2. Perhaps it was because MM groupies are bizarre yet scary...
So people got weird looks on their faces when they saw the MMGs but they were afraid the MMGs would say "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKIG AT!?" so they aimed the bizarre looks at the guy who doesn't look like he eats kittens for breakfast...

6. If it makes you feel any better...
The clientele at the Cub Foods on University Ave have made me and my family feel uncomfortable before. The people who work there have always been fine, but we have had racial slurs hurled at us there by some mean spirited customers. You would think an inner city neighborhood would be more tolerant.

We still shop at Cub Foods but we avoid that neighborhood.

I hope you're doing ok tonight. It sounds like you had a very stressful shopping experience.
