7. I have such a fetish...
that even if a man had a beautiful full head of hair, I'd prefer them shaved. I love bald and hairless men. :) To me it exudes confidence and that is sexy.

8. Just cut the rest real short
about a quarter inch, or 3/16th should do.

It sends the message: Yes, I'm going bald. I know it. I'm ok with it.

29. yeah picard is the man!
bald men get hardly any role models on tv and film, generally, bald = old and past it. Jean Luc is one of the exceptions, him and the guy that plays Locke - he's also daddy cool.
that's why we'll never have a bald president. us baldies need to get politicized and rise up against our hairy oppressors

19. You forgot TINY PONYTAIL!!
What were you thinking. I wore the silly ponytail for years until I saw myself in a video from the rear. The ponytail went bye-bye shortly after that.

'course, I wouldn't know . . . my hair is white-fro thick. I need #10 gel to go to 11 to keep it under control.

22. I'm 47 and have been losing my hair since I was 25
But I'm blond so I think that helps a lot.

I just keep it short. Comb-overs are just ridiculous. Drugs are not an option. I'm saving that money for penis extensions.

I just think it's harder on the more dark-haired members of our sex. As a blond, it's just kind of a natural blending into the scalp. Easier for blonds to go gray as well.

Would I like to have my old Barry Gibb hair I had in the seventies? Sure. I would cut it different today. But my hair doesn't define me. I defefine me. I have to think about who I know that are bald or balsing or not. Because I don't group my buddies or coworkers like that. Maybe it's a bigger deal for women, I don't know. Is it a showstopper? Not that I'm looking? Just curious.

I can still grow great non-gray facial hair. Once that goes gray, then I will accept old age.

Meanwhile, my goal is to wind up looking like the Blond Bomber at his age:

23. natural thin out
shave is only slightly better than comb over.

the idea of a toupee appeals to me, as a way of imposing your will on others

Edited on Sat Jan-27-07 08:09 AM by ovidsen
I really honestly don;t care. Brown with some gray on the the sides and back. Thinning gray and brown on the top. I'm 6 feet 4 and I DARE anyone to make a chrome dome joke. Unless that person is the most beautiful woman on God's earth, We do have our standards.

26. Shaved head guys: Do you shave clean?
Or do you use clippers? I don't like the way a razor clean shave looks on me. Besides, that's too much maintenance. The whole reason I shaved it was it was too much trouble. Why swap it for more trouble?

I use clippers about once every week or two.

The full shave is too much maintenace.

30. It would depend on how bald someone is.
Some men think they are bald when they have the slightest receding hairline.

32. My co-worker's been losing his hair for a good 10 years (age 42) - he tries
to make up for it by letting his remaining hair grow out, and it's not a particularly attractive texture to begin with. Kind of coarse and wooly, like he had it transplanted from another part of his body...'nuff said! :silly: Anyway, it does NOT look good at all...I've yet to see anyone pull off that look.

33. When I finally just had a few top hairs wafting around in the breeze
I took the razor to them.
Got a gray to white short fringe now.
When I shave I do top first, then face.

Minimal sideburns.
Long 'burns and slick tops is tacky.

34. At least this is one physical/aesthetic thing I don't have to deal with.
As a woman, there are several never-ending beauty battles I must fight. Balding is not one of them, in my case. (Yes, I know hair loss is a problem for many women, etc.)

If anything, I've got too much hair and it's a matter of keeping it looking not too poofy ...
