Am I in trouble with Blockbuster? I broke the DVD box.
I went down to use my free rental coupons yesterday. I got home, had a couple of cocktails and decided to watch "employee of the month". I started to open it and it seemed stiff. I pulled hard and the corner of the box broke. I looked at it and saw that the "employee of the month at the store" had neglected to remove the security device from the box. I figured it was already broken so I continued until I could get the movie out.
I WAS NOT going to drive back down to the store after having had two drinks. I do not drink and drive. EVER.
Am I going to get screwed over by blockbuster? I figure they should eat the cost of their employee's error.

1. I doubt...
that they'll have a problem with it. As long as the disc is intact, they can give it a new box.

5. I once worked there, we never faulted a customer when that happened.
Maybe once every two weeks something like that would happen. The customer would call up and ask what they hell, and we'd tell them to break the box open and save themselves a trip.

I'm sure your local blockbuster has lots and lots of spare plastic DVD cases lying around.
