Anybody at Cirque du Soleil in Orlando last night (Friday night)?
One of the performers (The Green Bird in La Nouba) fell from one of the high platforms and her wire snapped. She hit the stage with quite a thud. I thought it was part of the show until they put her on a backboard and I could hear her whimpering as they carried her off.

I was wondering if anybody else was there and might have seen a news report on her condition.

1. I couldn't find anything about it in google news
Could the backboard and whimpering have been part of the show?

3. I thought so at first. But I expected a "punch line" to come later
It never did.

2. Oh that's terrible!
I hope she is okay. Those performers are so dedicated and work so hard. I'm sure if you call the venue they can give you more info.

5. I have wanted to see La Nouba for some time.
I haven't gotten there yet.

I feel bad for that poor girl. Those performers are quite amazing, especially because of the danger they face. I hope she recovers.
