Woohoo! I got carded today, when I was buying beer at the store.

1. That happened to me in New Mexico a couple years ago.

I was all flattered and thanked the guy. Then they carded the at-least-eighty-year-old man behind me. Mandatory carding. :cry: :rofl:

When I thanked the guy, he told me they carded anyone who looked like they were under 50. :eyes:

3. It's happened to me twice in the last six months.

In the one case, the guy shrugged as I pulled out my drivers license and said, "Well I'm twenty-four and you look younger than me." (I'm a whopping ten years older--and you, sir, get a nice tip! :) ) In the other case, I was ordering a beer at the Chinese buffet and the waiter asked for my ID--but then when he took a good look at me (sniff!) he laughed. Kind of hard, too. I tell myself it's because I look too poised and self confident to be under twenty-one...but it's a hard sell.

6. You're the first person I ever heard of being carded at

a Chinese food restaurant so I would consider that a compliment. I once got served alcohol at one while having lunch after a high school field trip and I know of some that will serve "special tea" to any underage person that asks.
