Embarassment is
when your buddy comes over to your house so you can help him fix his car and at the end of the job .... there are left over parts on the ground.

:hide:

Wonder what that gizmo was and if he really needs it ...

2. Uh, yeah.
It was something he took off the car early on in the task but couldn't remember where from and for the life of me ...

Nope. Still haven't a clue.

3. The true question here is:
Does the car run without it?

8. Nope
Not unless you are 11, brown eyes, have a crush on Ville Vallo and an obsessive interest in UFOs.

But maybe we (your Dad and I) have certain, uh, similar traits?

My daughter required me to let her sit on my shoulders for pretty much the whole show.

Yeah ... she's got me wrapped around that finger ...

12. Now that's weird!
I'd hang onto it........

And maybe one day a mechanic will figure out where it goes......

Good luck!

16. **sheepish grin**
I'm actually a pretty good amateur mechanic. Like, I have built an engine. This little thing looks like a vacuum switch but since my buddy couldn't remember where it came from (he remembers taking it off shortly after we started) and I couldn't find any loose vacuum lines ...

I told him to take it to the dealer for identification ... if I know what it is I can figure out where it goes. Still, a humbling experience.

Thanks, Peggie.

13. When you were a kid and some boys made you pull down your pants
in front the entire freaking class.

Of course with my autism I had no idea that it was wrong, I just did what people told me to.

Ouch!! Painful memory.

15. Ouch!
Like indeed. Ouch. Kids can be so mean.

Had no idea about the autism thing. Don't know quite what to say, Blue, other than I like what you have to say when I catch one of your posts, and I wish I could think of a joke or quip that would make ya laugh right now.

17. Yeah this happened in kindergarten...
and there were three boys, Bruce, Eric and Carl who were mean to me. Every day. They would throw mud at me during recess and even throw rocks at me while I am swinging. My sister went after them a couple of times though.

19. This probably just reflects
my lack of proper emotional and spiritual development but I really hope somewhere along the line someone kicked their asses. That kind of thing makes me mad.

:grr:

Mean people suck.

21. Oh yes, Karma can come around...
I had a bully in the 4 & 5 grade who would be nice to me for a while, and then make fun of me. She was pure hell and went out of her way to torment me. When I was in high school I was taking a graphics communications class at KCTC and my mom, who was an interpreter for the deaf before she went on dialysis was working with a deaf student in the plastics class came in and told me that she had a conversation from a dude that went to East Kentwood High (not where I attended) knew the girl and had told my mom that the girl had gotten beaten up twice and once so bad she had to go the hospital.

Well all I thought was "what goes around comes around."

I don't think I ever reconciled my feelings with her (the girl) and though I say to myself that I forgive her, I don't think I really do.

20. True story, Embarrassment is:
My gal pal and I were pulling into a gas station, she was driving. We were following a Mercedes which pulled into the first slot and stopped. My friend was quite upset about that as there was a slot ahead of the Mercedes which was open and that car could have pulled ahead and allowed us use of the slot that it was using. We went around and backed into that slot ahead of the Mercedes. My friend then took it upon herself while filling her tank to tell the Mercedes owner what a selfish ass he was for not pulling up into the next slot when he knew that we were right behind him.

He pointed out that he would gladly have done so if our pump provided DIESEL too.

(Sometimes ya gotta be glad that you ain't someone else...for me that was one of those moments)

22. I hear that!
But, then, we all throw our asses from time to time. I always feel like an idiot when I realize that I've just done it again. (Dad was Irish. I blame it on his genes ...)

24. the first time I tried to undo a bra
Sixteen years old. Back seat of an Impala.

It wasn't for lack of preparation. I had spent years studying my sisters' bras to understand how they work.

But in the heat of the moment... I think it was lack of blood to the brain. In frustration, I simply pulled the bands apart, bending the hooks straight.

She didn't even notice until she was getting dressed. She was pretty pissed about it.
