I was going to meet my date before watching the MD/UNC game, probably one of the premier basketball games ever televised on EPSN2 in 2007.
I gave her ambigious directions, but not so sad, she lived in DC. She got lost, but no care, I met up with my boss from 1983, haven't seen him for about 20 years. I worked for his Civil Engineering company and a nursery on the side. I used to give him my employee discount all of the time.
He is a MD fan from WAY BACK, since 1947, when he graduated with my uncle. He had all the MD garb, and bought his pizza from Ledo's Restaurant, (the original Ledo's). He gave me great complimnets, but all the while, I am making this date sour.
When she finally arrived, I had egg on my face, I think she wanted me to hold a table, but she wasn't that aggravated, but the KICKER IS,
I LOST MY TICKETS, and I am left with the explanation of how I lost them. When we were arriving at the concourse of Comcast Center, a man was "selling 2 tickets", I'll BET THERE WERE THE TICKETS that I lost!!!!
The good part was, we went to her house to REALLY watch a movie, no sparks yet, but I got to know her a little bit. When I arrived home, I checked my email, and she sent me a thank you email, shitty date & all.
Not too bad for losing my tickets. MD lost by the way, 84-71, but look for MD in the NCAA tournament. they really rock.
I asked her to go to another game, I think she will accept.
